Family Workshop: Cocoa & Coloring

Join us at the Miller House Museum for a cozy afternoon of family-friendly fun! We’ll provide everything you need to get started: crayons, colored pencils, historical coloring pages for both kids and adults—and a bottomless hot chocolate bar! Top off your cup with treats like whipped cream, graham cracker crumbs, marshmallows and sprinkles and keep coming back for more! Full-size coloring books, locally made mugs and other presents will be available for purchase, and the museum will be open for tours. All ages welcome, but parents must accompany children under the age of 12.

Join us for a delightful afternoon in the Miller House Museum parlors for one of our Sundays in the Salon! Historian and author Bob Savitt will be presenting on the history of Camp David, Maryland's own presidential retreat. The Golden Age of Industry in Washington County with Bob Savitt

Operating out of the Blue Ridge Mountains, nine towns hosted teams in one of the most successful Class D minor leagues. Food Tour of Baltimore’s Little Italy

Go on the road with the Washington County Historical Society and get a taste for Baltimore's Italian and Jewish history! This 3.5 hour walking tour will take you through Little Italy and Jonestown, learning more about local history and heritage as you visit some of the area's oldest and best restaurants and shops. Bus transportation to and from Baltimore will be provided, so pack some walking shoes and an empty stomach for this excellent tour! We take dietary restrictions very seriously, so please list any food allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of registration. Meal substitutions cannot be made on the day of the tour.

Baltimore’s Railroads: History & Heritage Bus Trip

Go on the road with the Washington County Historical Society as we explore the Irish history and heritage of Baltimore! The tour will start at the Irish Railroad Worker's Museum with a walking tour of the museum, an authentic tenement house, and several important landmarks within the historically Irish neighborhood. Lunch will be provided before heading to the B&O Railroad Museum for a special guided tour that explores the bumpy history of passenger rail travel. Museum admission is included as well.
