Family Workshop: Pumpkin Bowling

It's back! Everyone's favorite fall activity will be held again this year at the Miller House Museum! Come down for an informal session of pumpkin bowling and show off your bowling skills! Our family workshops are held open-house style. Feel free to come anytime between 11-2: this activity will not take 3 hours to complete! Depending on "lane" availability, your group may be paired with another, so come ready to make some new friends!

Washington County Roots with Mr. Howard Kaylor

Fans of Who Do You Think You Are? are sure to love our local edition. Our genealogists are hot on the trail of prominent Washington County local, Howard Kaylor, and they'll be revealing what they've found at a live presentation! Join us and Mr. Howard Kaylor as we travel back in time through his family tree, uncovering some of his family's most interesting stories and secrets. We may even be able to dig up some family artifacts while we're at it! The presentation will include a cash bar and light refreshments.

3rd Annual kinship Family Heritage Conference

The kinship Family Heritage Research Center is hosting its 3rd conference for genealogy researchers. Looking to expand your knowledge on current trends in family history research? Then join us for an all day session of engaging presentations by local genealogy experts! Film Screening: The Education of Johnny Schnell

At the height of the Cold War, local Washington County boy John Schnell was chosen by the United States government to star in a film that was never intended to be shown in the United States. The Education of Johnny Schnell followed the daily life of an all American boy, and became a widely circulated propaganda film in Asia during the 1960s and 70s. General John Schnell will also share his photographs, film related memorabilia, and personal experiences.

Kids of all ages will have a chance to get interested in their family history!
