Family Workshop: Create a Rain Stick
April 4 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Make your own rain stick to take home with you! This traditional Latin American instrument sounds like falling rain, and was played by cultures like the Inca and the Mapuche to help bring rain. Learn more about the history of rain sticks as you make your own, and take them out into the Miller House Gardens to invent your own rain dance!
Each of our family workshops is held open-house style, so feel free to drop by any time during the workshop hours. This craft takes approximately 30 minutes to make. Parental supervision of children is required.
Our 2020 Family Workshops have been made possible by the generous support of the CSX Corporation.
